California 2009

On Tuesday May 12th Ryan came home from work and we got in the car and headed to Califonia. The drive from our door to Anaheim was just over 5.5 hours. We made a few stops and before we knew it we were at the hotel. After arriving to the hotel Ryan and I took a quick nap, showered and got ready for the Redwings game. The game was great. There were alot of wings fans and it was really amazing to see how nice the ducks fans were. Even though the wings lost the game was AWESOME. This was Ryan's first Playoff Hockey Game and he had a great time the energy inside the arena was crazy and we loved every moment of it win or loose

The next day Ryan and I got tickets to go to Knotts Berry Farms, it is a theme park full of Roller Coasters and for those of you that know me I LOVE roller coasters and as you know Ryan HATES roller coasters. So my wonderful husband let go of his fear and went on the coasters with me. There was one coaster that went from 0-70mph in less than 2 seconds and shoots you over a 90 degree loop, it was so awesome and Ryan did so good. After a day at the theme park we went to Huntington Beach and 'Posh' area outside Anaheim. They have a restaurant 'Dukes' that is mainly in Hawaii and they have a wonderful dessert called ' Hula Pie ' it's Ice cream oreo graham cracker crust with whip cream, hot fudge and macadamia nuts... TO DIE FOR.. Ryan and I have both been to Hawaii and had this while we were there so we knew we had to go. We walked the beach had some dinner and had our dessert. After that we decided to drive to LA which was only about 40 minutes away while we were there we then came up with the idea of going to the 'Hollywood Sign' Well it's not open to the public and is on a private road in the Hills. So we decided to risk it and drive up there.... Was it ever cool. We saw the sign but it was way to dark to get a picture.

We had a great time and it was so nice spending alone time with one another, Ryan is always working and doing things for work and this trip was just about 'Us'. The Redwings advanced to the next round. Now they play the Blackhawks. Ohhhh I forgot a funny story
When we left Anaheim I drove, well Ryan was sleeping and I knew Outlet stores were coming up. So I pulled off the exit and made my way to my favorite store: The Coach Store. I have been looking for a new purse since my birthday. Well ryan started waking up because I was slowing down, he looked up at me and said 'Where are we going?' I told I had to go to the bathroom. "He said where and as he started looking around he saw where I was headed' so he said "Your going to the bathroom where??? the coach store??? ' So we went inside and I got a $400 purse for only $150. I will have a picture of it soon. I have to get a wallet to match. I am so lucky to have Ryan in my life.. Thanks Babe for the purse
