Happy 1st Anniversary Mr and Mrs Travis

WOW................ It has already been a year since our wedding, where does the time go?? Well on Saturday Ryan and I made reservations to stay the night at the Hotel San Carlos where we and alot of you stayed on the night of our wedding. On Friday I had to work and Ryan took the day off due to some meetings that he had, well that threw a wrench in my entire day. Before he took the day off I was going to go to the Hotel and drop off a few things..... Well now that he was off I couldn't. So on Friday I told Ryan I had a very important 'Meeting' to attend, little did he know I was going down to the hotel. I got down to the hotel and dropped off our Wedding Flutes and a Bottle of Champagne. I told the hotel staff that I wanted this to be in our room prior to our arrival. Those of you that know me........... Know that I am a bit obsessive when I want something done right. So they assure me everything will be PERFECT. So Saturday rolls around Ryan and I get ready go to Lunch and then head to the Hotel. Well when we got there and walked into our Suite, which was the same suite we stayed in the night of our wedding (Mae West Suite) I see NO flutes or champagne that I had brought down to them YESTERDAY. So Ryan goes and parks the car and I am on the phone LIVID. They told me they have no idea where the flutes or champagne are, then they said are you sure you brought them? I said am I sure I drove down here in rush hour traffic and lied to my husband........ UM YES I AM SURE. So then they say "Oh here it is' well they forgot and by this time Ryan had made it back to the room and I had to ruin my surprise. He was so touched that I went out of my way to make this night extra special for the both of us. It was so nice to be able to relax just the two of us. No cell phones no nothing. We hung out in the room and relaxed it was an amazing evening.

Ryan at dinner

On Sunday we checked out of the hotel and went to breakfast. Ryan loves the Food Network Channel and there is a show on there called ' Diners Drive-ins and Dives' the host goes all across the country to find these little places that have fantastic food. So they did one in phoenix of a place called 'Matt's Big Breakfast' this place was no bigger than our Spare bedroom. They probably had 10 tables and a counter that sat 6. We waited for 25 minutes for breakfast.... It was the best breakfast we have ever had, well worth the wait. So if any of you make it to Phoenix again we must go. We also did a little shopping then headed home. We had dinner reservations at the Compass Room, which is a revolving restaurant on top of the Hyatt downtown Phoenix this is the placed Ryan proposed at. We had an amazing dinner, the view is phenomenal and in just 55 minutes you will go 360 degrees. We saw the Chase Building where we had our reception and the hotel. After dinner Ryan and I cam home where we ate the top tier of our wedding cake. Our Bakery re-created the top tier for us rather than freezing it, it was so yummy. I still can't believe we have been married for a year already the year flew by so fast. We are looking forward to what 2009 has to bring us.

Happy 25th Birthday Marissa

**Happy Birthday Marissa Lena**

Well yesterday was my 25th birthday and it was the best birthday I have had thus far. I woke up and Ryan came home from work and he had me meet him at the front door, I opened the door and there he was with a huge balloon and pink roses.

We then opened my presents for those of you who know me best I hate surprises so I was ready to open them. Ryan got me some Red Wing Socks, a Board Game and the Wii Fit (For Christmas I bought Ryan a Wii). After we opened presents and finished up important phone calls we got ready for the day. We went to breakfast at my FAVORITE Breakfast Spot and then went shopping. I got some new Spring/Summer clothes, a Wii game and a New Phone. Ryan and I had a great day and I was super excited for my evening.

So when we got home from our shopping extravaganza we made my sign for the game. A few months ago Ryan asked what I wanted to do for my Birthday, and since there was a hockey game on my birthday I suggested we sit downstairs. So Ryan bought seats right behind the Coyotes Bench, I mean RIGHT BEHIND the BENCH like it was me the glass then the players. So I wanted to make a sign and we did. Here it is.

The tickets included all you can eat food and drinks so Ryan and I got to the game at 5:00pm had a FANTASTIC Dinner. This club is located in the basement of the arena and you get to see all of the players when they walk out. As you know Ryan and I are huge hockey game so this was really exciting for us. As we waited for the players we took some pictures of the club and the players of course. Shane Doan (The captain for the Coyotes) shook Ryan's hand and Ryan said 'Hey Doaner'...

Here is a Video of the Players walking out onto the ice for 'Warm-Up'

The game was so much fun and I am so Lucky to have such a wonderful Husband. My day was amazing and the Game was even better. Here are a few pictures of our night at the game. It was so cool to be so close to the players and the 'Great One' Wayne Gretzky. When we sit upstairs it is a different experience, the game is so much faster downstairs and the intensity is CRAZY. I found myself watching the bench and the players more than the game. The Game was Nationally Televised and I told all of our family to make sure that they either watched the game or Tivo'd it. I got Texts from my mom all night she kept seeing me on T.v. I looked so funny because when they showed the bench and Wayne you see Ryan and I looking funny and laughing, but hey we were on national T.v it doesn't get any better than that. But seriously I was so close to Gretzky it was crazy. I told Ryan that we should do this every year on my birthday. OK as for my sign, Matthew Lombardi was traded to our team for one of my favorite players and I knew that when we got him he was going to be my favorite player, his speed and determination for the sport is amazing and it doesn't hurt that he is VERY good- looking. So my sign said ' Hey Lombardi Score A Goal For My Birthday' so during Warm-up's he saw it and smiled at me and nodded his head at me. Then during the game he kept seeing it and kept nodding his head and smiling at me. Well in the 2nd period 'HE SCORED' Wooo hooo. After the game he said I scored and smiled at me. Towards the end of the game Wayne Gretzky turned and looked at us saw my sign well he couldn't see all of it so he gestured for us to raise the sign up, well he read it and then said 'He did it he SCORED' then he grabbed a puck tapped the glass and gave us a puck. It was amazing and the best present EVER.

Below are a few pictures of the game. I also put another video on here. I am now looking forward to this weekend. Our Anniversary is on Sunday and we have a lot planned, we are looking forward to it and I will be sure to post a lot of pictures.

Happy St Patrick's Day

Well this St Patrick's Day was a great one for the Travis'. I had to work for a couple hours and then Ryan met me at work and we headed up to Fountain Hills for the festivities. Tuesday was the last day of his grandparents trip out here so I thought we should send them off with a bang.

Ryan and I met his parents and grandparents at the Fountain ( for those of you that don't know it is the largest fountain in the world and is located in Fountain Hills) They die the fountain Green every year and now that I am married to an Irish Man, I must show my Irish support.
We spent an hour there watching the fountain turn green and talking and of course "Horsing Around" what we do best. After we went to lunch and back to his parents house for a couple games of cards.

After we headed back to our house where we got ready for the Hockey game. FYI The FINALLY WON. WOOOOO HOOOOO. Tomorrow is another hockey game, however we get to meet some of the players after the game. I will post pictures as the weekend goes on.
