The Travis' Go To Florida

The last few weeks have been Crazy to say the least. My Mom and Scott left on December 2nd and a few days after that Ryan left for Vegas with the boys. They had a great time just hanging out with one another. Ryan flew home on Friday December 11th and the next day we left for Florida with Ryan’s mom and dad. We went there to visit his brother and sister in law and their 2 kids. We got to Florida late Saturday night, Linda, Bob, Ryan and I decided to go to Wal-Mart and shop at 12:00 in the morning, we were exhausted by the time we got back to our time share. The timeshare was a 3 bedroom condo. Linda and Bob took the master room, Adam and Catherine took the 2 doubles, Michelle took the Couch with Connor and Ryan and I got the…………. Are you ready for this…………………….. The room with a PULLOUT Couch. Yeah, let’s just say I didn’t sleep much that week, luckily we were able to combine 2 pullout mattresses and make it comfortable, oh who am I kidding it wasn’t comfy at ALL!!!

On Sunday morning Adam, Michelle, Catherine and Connor arrived and we had about 15 minutes to socialize, because the ‘Ladies’ had a spa appointment. I an hour massage and a manicure and boy was it wonderful. After a few hours at the Spa we headed to Downtown Disney where we went to ‘T-REX Café’ it is very similar to the Rain forest Café but Dinosaur themed. Catherine had a GREAT time, she was so excited and Uncle Ryan was right there to show her everything.

On Monday we got up and headed to the Disney, our first park was ‘The Magic Kingdom’ I had never been there before, we had an amazing time Catherine had so much fun and it was so great to see her have a great time. When Catherine gets excited she puts her hand in the air and shakes, it is so adorable. Connor did great didn’t really fuss and there were plenty of people there to hold him and keep him busy. We must have walked 5 miles that day and by the time we got back to the timeshare we were dead.

On Tuesday we went to ‘Animal Kingdom’ it was a hot day about 85 and humid, we rode some rides and saw some animals. I haven’t been to Disney world in about 3 years so a lot of things have changed, they added new rides. I LOVE roller coasters and they have a ride there called ‘Everest’; while there we had to go on the rides in groups since we couldn’t leave the kids alone. So Michelle, Linda and I went first. Like I said I LOVE roller coasters my Mother in law not so much, so being the great daughter in laws we are we FORCED her to go. She screamed for a moment, but had a great time. Animal Kingdom closed early that night so Grandma and Grandpa watched the kids while the big kids went to dinner at Downtown Disney. We made reservations at Wolfgang Pucks; it was a fancy restaurant with AMAZING food. After dinner we walked around Downtown and did some shopping. So a side note, Ryan and I bought Catherine her very 1st Mr. Potato Head Set. So there is a Huge Store that has millions of Mr. Potato head accessories, Ryan and Adam had a fantastic time picking out everything for her. You had to fill a box with as much stuff as you could get into this box for only $20, so being boys they fit it to the breaking point.

Wednesday we went to Epcot, We had fun riding rides and exploring the countries. We had dinner reservations in Japan at Teppan Edo, which is a Teppanayki Restaurant. Catherine had so much fun and it was the perfect way to end our 3 days at the park. Catherine and Michelle share a birthday so we celebrated there. After dinner Adam and Michelle headed back to the condo and Ryan and I and his parents did some shopping.

So Thursday was interesting to say the least. We got up had some breakfast did some packing then decided to go to lunch. Well…………….. We get to the restaurant and Catherine is crying and complaining her wrist hurts, so after 25 minutes of sitting in the parking lot Ryan, Michelle and Adam decided to take her to the Emergency room, so Bob, Linda and I took Connor back to the condo and had some lunch. It wouldn’t be a Travis Vacation if we didn’t make at least 1 stop to Ryan’s favorite place (His Family knows what I mean). Catherine‘s Elbow was popped out so the Dr popped it back in and she was fine. Ryan and I flew 1st class home the entire way and it was wonderful, I told him from now on that’s the only way I will Travel.

Last night was our 2nd Annual Holiday Party, we had a great time and we are looking forward to next year’s party. Christmas is Friday and I am sooooo excited, can’t wait to see Ryan’s face when he opens his gifts, I am basically the BEST wife EVER.

Alot to Tell you About

Ok so today my mom and Scott left. It was sooo sad to see them go, I was suppose to work today but I woke up with NO voice couldn’t talk at all so I had to call in sick. We packed up everything and headed to lunch and the airport. They flew in on November 17th and it has been so nice having them here. Scott is truly amazing, he did so many projects around the house and Ryan and I are very grateful to him for helping with everything. Ok this post is going to be long so bear with me, I will start with thanksgiving and work way my to present day.

Thanksgiving Day

Ryan and I hosted Thanksgiving this year, it was our first one here ever so it was extra important to me that everything go perfect. We had so much food and desserts it was insane. Michelle (My bestfriend) and her little ones came over for their 2nd dinner. There was about 15 of us and it was wonderful. We played the Wii and Apples to Apples, it was really great having my family here this year. After everyone left Ryan and I noticed that the ‘Outlet Malls’ by our house were opening at 10:00pm so we got in the car and drove to start our shopping. We got some great deals, Ryan got 2 pairs of Nike shoes and 2 Nike shirts for $100 and then we went to the Gap and I got 2 sweaters and so did Ryan and we spent $60. We didn’t get home until 12:30am. When we got home Mom and Scott were still up looking for deals. We didn’t get to bed until 1:15 and we set are alarms for 3:30am.

Black Friday

The Travis clan was up and out the door by 4:00am and standing in line at walmart. Scott wanted to get a laptop but they were all sold out by the time we got there, so they turned around and went home while Ryan and I went shopping. We got a Blu Ray Player for ourselves along with some DVD’s, We also got a new GPS and some clothes. Our Big purchase of the day was a Wii for my mom and Scott. They were so obsessed with ours that we had to buy one for them. We got home and took naps and gave them their Christmas present and they were so excited. Later that night we went to a coyotes game, this was Scott’s first game since he was a teenager. We had a great time.

My mom and I went and got Mani’s and Pedi’s while the boys stayed behind to get all of our Christmas lights up. When we got home the lights were up……. However Ryan then decided he wanted to do all new lights. So over the next day and some we have replaced all of our lights with LED ones. I have to stay though it looks awesome. When we got home I had to hurry up and get ready because Ryan had his 10 year High School Reunion that night. Ryan had a great time seeing all of his friends, it was a little awkward for me, but we still had a great time.

Scott and my mom are huge BOWLERS so Scott wanted to take us bowling to see our ummm…. Skills yeah right. So we bowled about 3 games and it was a blast. After we went to Roy’s for dinner. Scott and Ryan love Sushi and Seafood so I knew they would enjoy that.

We just got home from the airport and walking in the door was so weird, when you have 2 other people living here for the last 17 days and now there is no one it is quiet and lonely. I miss my mom everyday and I hate living so far from her, but we talk everyday. I am going to miss them.
Ryan and I have a busy few weeks ahead of us. Saturday we are having a garage sale. Wednesday he leaves for a ‘Boy’s Weekend’ in Las Vegas for a few days and then we are going to Florida to he his brother and sister in law and our niece and nephew. Will post soon!!!
