New Poll and A Little Pregnancy Scare

I have created a poll on the right of the blog on when you think Lena will make her Arrival. Please check it out and Cast your vote.

Ryan and I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I had a few hours where I had the pregnant lady worries that I was having contractions. Everyone keeps asking me if I was contracting but I have no idea because this is my 1st time. So Thursday while I was at work I was having really bad cramps that were coming and going often and were so painful, I called the Dr and she instructed me to come into the office immedietly. They did their check and listened to her heart rate anddeverything was GREAT. I am currently dialated to 1cm, I was given some medicine to stop the contractions, but haven't had any since. Our last day of work is January 14th, if I make it that far, we are getting soooo excited and the house is nearly Lena ready. I am still sooo excited but soooo nervous, I am packing my hospital bag this up-coming week just in case. I have another Dr appt on Wednesday to see how far along I am and my Dr said she is okay with me going into labor after Monday December 27th.

I will be posting again this week from Christmas so please come back and check it out!!!

35 Weeks

Wow, We only have 4 more weeks and Lena will be here (and I have a feeling that she will be early) Things around here have been very busy, Lena's room is all complete and little touches have been made, like the Swing is up and the Pack N Play is up and in the dining room ready for Lena. I am soooo excited but at the same time I am soooooo nervous, thankfully my mom will be here for a month and Ryan is taking 3 months off. Harley knows something is going on and over the last couple of days she has been following me around and won't let me shower without her in the bathroom with me.

What's going on with Lena: From now on, baby's growth is mostly in the plumping up department -- though he won't get much longer, he'll put on a pound or more of baby fat before birth. (She's about 15 percent right now and will be about 30 percent by full-term.) Her hearing is totally developed (tip: baby responds best to higher pitches).

How far along? 35 Weeks

How big is baby? Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — she'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight

Sleep: Lena is starting to become more active just as I lay down, so right when I am trying to fall asleep she is kicking and punching me. I am up about 2-3 times a night to use the bathroom. Luckily I am able to fall right back to sleep

Best moment this week: Realizing that she is going to be here soon

Movement: CRAZY ACTIVE. Although we went for an ultrasound and the tech said she was a calm baby, I hope this is true when she enters this world. Lena moves alot when I put cold objects on my belly. Ryan has been feeling her move alot and he enjoys talking to my belly and getting her to move.

Food cravings: Ice Cream.... I must have it every night.... But rest easy I have only gained a total of 18lbs this pregnancy so my OB told me to enjoy it as often as I would like too.

Gender: Girl

Belly Button in or out? Almost out

What I miss: Nothing really

What I am looking forward to: Christmas on Saturday!! This is our last Christmas as family of 3!!!

Milestones: Only 35 days left. Its hard to believe that a year ago we were going through infertility and giving me shots to get pregnant and here we are today.... Waiting on Lena to make her appearence into this world.

Weekly Wisdom: Enjoy this time with the ones you love!!!

Here is a picture of me at 32 weeks. I will take more pictures this weekend!!!

I can't even believe I am so close to the end and meeting our daughter, I am so excited and nervous at the same time. Lena is more active than ever before and Ryan can see her move by just looking at my belly, he loves feeling her kick and I know he can't wait for his daughter to be here. Ryan has been so amazing during the entire pregnancy and I am so lucky to call him my husband and the father of our baby girl. The last couple of weeks have been busy for us, I had my Glucose Test............ I PASSED no Gestational Diabetes for ME!!!! Wooooo Hoooooo!!! Ryan and I have been working our little butts off getting ready to take our time off, the nursery is about done and will have pictures to post soon.

Red Wings Game 1

So on Saturday was the Coyotes home opener and by chance it was against the DETROIT RED WINGS baby!!! We went with my step dad and it was a great time that was had by all!! The coyotes did loose, however that means the WINGS won. Ryan bought me this redwing shirt that on the tummy say's ' Future Redwing Fan' I love this shirt and Lena got to represent, it was really cute. She was very active at the game and was kicking up a storm and I enjoyed every moment of it.

Here are a few pictures from our game night!!

25 Weeks

So the last 10 weeks have been crazy busy for us, we had our 6 month check up and unfortunetly Ryan wasn't able to come. I was 24 weeks when I went in and my Dr measured me at 28 weeks. I am under on my weight gain so she knows I am not gaining to quickly. It could be we were off on conception or something else. We have an ultrasound on Nov 1st to confirm.

So if I am ahead of schedule then it is looking like we might have a end of December baby!! Lena's nursery is almost done and everything is starting to come together. Hockey starts on Saturday and we can't wait for the 1st game. I will keep you posted after the ultrasound on Nov 1st.
What's going on with Lena:
That oh-so-handy sense of equilibrium is kicking in, and baby's learning to distinguish right side up from upside down.

Your baby's ears are fully functional now, and he or she may even blink in reaction to a loud noise. The brain is growing rapidly. If you could look inside your uterus, you'd see a well-proportioned head and body.

How far along? 25 weeks

How big is baby? The estimate is right around 13 1/2 inches and about 1.5-2 pounds. The comparison to an eggplant.

Sleep: I am sleeping pretty good, I am still up about 2-3 times a night to go to the bathroom

Best moment this week: Having Ryan feel her moving around.

Movement: Oh my, she is sooooo active she kicks all the time and is constantly moving around. Lena is most active first thing in the morning and at night right around dinner and just as I am starting to fall asleep.

Food cravings: ICE CREAM, I love it and can't get enough of it. I find myself wanting it every night and I was told it's a good source of calcium so in my mind its good for us. hehe

Gender: Girl!

Belly Button in or out? In, but is looking like it is going to pop any moment now.

What I miss: Sleeping through the night, being able to shave my legs without missing patches of hair.

What I am looking forward to: Ryan and I have our Hospital tour in a few weeks and I am getting excited as the due date nears.

Milestones: Feeling her kick, Room is almost finished, ZERO strecth marks and my weight gain is below what it should be (Dr is NOT concerned at all)

Weekly Wisdom: Enjoy this time and never take anything for granted.

Camping 2010

Ryan and I went camping over the weekend and it was an AMAZING time. I was nervous about going since I am 6 months pregnant, but it went really good and it was extra special because I actually felt Lena Kick from the outside and Ryan also got to feel her!!!
Ryan forgot to bring the battery to the camera but our friends took some really great pictures. We went to Happy Jack, Arizona and it was in the 70's during the day and the low 50's at night. it rained for a few hours the 1st night but then for the rest of the time it was picture perfect.

We did some target shooting and relaxed with friends and played camping games. I am sooooo glad we all got to go and we are excited for our next trip!!! Here are a few pics from our trip.

5 Month Check Up and Ultrasound

Last week Ryan and I had my 5 month Check up and Ultrasound. I love it because Ryan loves coming to every Dr Appointment with me, he is such a good husband!! Everything is right on track with me and I am on the lower side of my weight gain which the Dr is pleased about!! Lena is measuring about 3-4 days ahead of her due date and looks perfect, they did a whole scan of her body and everything is PERFECT which is a huge relief. She was in a breech position which made it a little harder for the pictures, but she eventually flipped around and made for some good pictures. I am starting to feel her move alot more and it is truly amazing feeling. The nursery is coming along, we ordered the carpet and my dad is coming to help us paint next week. Our furniture came in about 6 weeks early so now we are in go mode with everything, I will post pictures of the nursery as we go along!!! We hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we do!!!
